How do Domain Names work?

Do I own my domain name?
YES, you do own your domain name. Web-Men.Net simply registers your domain for you. Some companies charge up to $35 a year for a name. Not us. We only charge $13.5 (P750.00) a year. Learn More.

Does it make a difference what type of desktop computer I use?
No. This will only make a difference if you develop scripts that you want to use without changes on your web site. FrontPage extensions can also be done on Unix (or Linux) servers.

Will I have forced advertising on my site like I do on Geocities, etc.?
No. None of the web hosts listed in our database force any kinds of ads on your site. In fact you can put your own ads if you'd like.

I don't have any experience in creating a site. Who can help me create and host my site?

What is Domain Parking?
Domain parking lets you cheaply reserve a domain name for future use and display an "under construction" default page on it. You can register a domain and not park it anywhere but then your site will simply be inaccessible until you get a web host. On our Email Hosting Service, client will park their domain on our servers.

What are "Disk space" and "Transfer"?
Space is the amount of "stuff" you can put on your web site. Available space is usually listed in megabytes (MB, millions of bytes). Single letter takes up one byte. HTML files are usually rather small but pictures and programs can get quite big. Your scripts, emails and stats will also take up space on your host. Transfer is the amount of "stuff" that visitors to your site can download before you reach your monthly limit. Transfer is usually listed in gigabytes (billions of bytes). After the transfer limit is reached for the month, you will need to pay extra for additional transfer at higher rates.

Web hosting clients can set up POP Accounts, Forwarders/Aliases, & Auto-Responders in the web-based control panel that comes with every Web-Men.Net web hosting package. For our email hosting clients, this will be done by Web-Men.Net staff.

How do I upload my files?
All Web-Men.Net web hosting packages allow the usage of FTP, Telnet, SSH, File Manager, MS FrontPage™ and other web development publishing programs to upload files to your website.

How fast are websites set up?
Web-Men.Net strives to set up accounts the same day as ordered. If an order is placed during normal business day hours, orders may be processed faster.

Does my account get a control panel?
Yes. Every Web-Men.Net web hosting package comes with a web browser based control panel. The control panel includes many features including: email configurations, chat rooms, mailing lists, pre-installed CGI scripts, databases, chat rooms, and much, much, more... How am I billed?
Web-Men.Net will email your statement of account. Special arrangements can be made for custom billing requirements. Payment shall be deposited on our MetroBank account. We can also send custom email invoicing so you can pay online.

How much assistance do you provide for my website?
Web-Men.Net will assist you with all support for services provided directly thru Web-Men.Net. Web-Men.Net will help you with basic settings of web browser control panel. We have 24hr outstanding Technical Support to guide you.

Are there any hidden costs?

What is Cpanel™?

What happens if I decide to leave Web-Men.Net
Our minimum service subscription is 1 (one) year. After the the 1 year minimum, Web-Men.Net and the Client may then enter into another 1 (one) year or more hosting service as the Client desires.

What type of support do you offer? Average Response Time?
Web-Men.Net offers support to our customers 24/7/365 via our 24hr Hotline. We have Support Area where our Administrators can respond realtime. We provide fast responding email support system, LiveHelp and onsite email forms. We strive for response time of no more than a few hours. Response time of just a few minutes are quite common during normal business hours. Web-Men.Net put premium importance to customer and technical support.

Can I have adult content on my website?
Web-Men.Net does not host adult sites at this time.

Users' sites may be suspended for violations of policy, or if extreme, or second time offenders, sites may be cancelled. What if I want to upgrade my website?
